me, a true blue native of thiruvananthapuram.did anyone walk the streets of this sleepy city during onam days? it is a sight to behold indeed, especially the museum road stretch. driving through it at night with the trees bearing lights on both sides of the road..its just amazing. truly..heavenly.
people, especially youngsters often say, there is no life here, when compared to cochin and so on. but you know, this city has a charm of its own.the old british structures, ancient trees, the people..who seem to be stuck in some time frame, all have to be taken in the right spirit. there is almost no place to "hang out" as such, but i am still very much attached to this home of mine.
trivandrum is actually pretty much a village at heart.all you have to do is step into a KSRTC bus, or listen to the dialogues of the locals.....not exactly "maninatham" like kannur or calicut language but still, very down to earth, helpful people.
so all those trivandrumites, criticising this haven, please do think twice.compared to the madness that is cochin or any other developing city, we are indeed blessed to be living here.

Oh so you have two blogs.Don't get angry if I'm overstepping your fence. Did you start this one as part of your architecture analysis of the city? If so why not continue? Given that your profile says you are from Trivandrum, I am sure knowing the city when I was in my mother's womb, you will have enough to author a book of your own. Think about it
you know Expresso, i.ve been trying to find an answer to this dilemma, who do i write for, a particular audience or a particular feeling.i always believed in second but a few publishers and seniors tell me, world has changed and writing must cater to the audience. All this time seeking someone who can guide me.its one thing to write but when it comes to publishing its a different ball game.Shamelessly i.ve been writing to strangers asking guidance.Such is the power of writing.felt like tellin you Expresso cos you are a good writer who must continue writing.atleast i think so, hopefully i'll meet someone who can help me through this question.
